During this evenings Columbus City Council meeting I was not selected to serve as the interim representative for District 7, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Columbus City Council for the opportunity to participate in this process. It has been an honor to engage with the Councilmembers and share my vision for a more inclusive, prepared, and equitable District 7.
I congratulate Otto Beatty III on his selection and look forward to seeing how he will serve our community during this interim period. Our district deserves thoughtful, passionate leadership, and I am confident that this moment will further the progress we all want to see.
For me, this is not the end of the journey—it is just the beginning. I remain steadfast in my commitment to District 7 and will continue to prepare for the November election. I am excited to connect with residents, listen to your concerns, and build a campaign that reflects the needs and aspirations of our community.
To my fellow candidates and neighbors, thank you for stepping up and showing the strength and diversity of District 7. To my neighbors and supporters, thank you for your belief in me and your encouragement throughout this process. Together, we will continue to shape the future of our district and our city.
